Rookie TreVeyon Henderson shone brightly with three scores as the Patriots secured an eight-game winning streak for the initial occasion since iconic QB Brady's last year with the franchise in 2019
Signal-caller Drake Maye accumulated 281 yards and a score, connecting on 25 out of 34 attempts
Victory increases the Patriots lead at the top of the division as they improved to nine victories against two losses, with the New York bottom after falling to two wins and eight losses
The visitors had taken the lead at their home field with quarterback Justin Fields scoring a five-yard TD to finish the New York's opening drive
But the New England answered in the second period as the rookie ran in two seven-yard TDs before the ball carrier caught a pass from Maye at the rear of the end zone midway through the third quarter to push the score to 21 to 7
"It was a key occasion for him delivering, and it's been great for him to keep earning playing time," Maye said of Henderson. "He wants to be great."
Justin Fields found Metchie in the latter part of the third quarter to narrow the deficit for the Jets but Borregales converted a two field goals in the final period as the home side wrapped up the win
